Nigeria Media Nite Out Awards celebrate strength, dedication at 2025 edition

CITIZENS COMPASS— The 19th edition of the Nigeria Media Nite Out Awards yesterday, celebrated, hard work, courage, and commitment to truthful reporting in the media sector.
The 2025 event was held at the Airport Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos State.
The Nigeria Media Nite-Out Award is an annual event that recognizes outstanding contributions to the media industry and national development.
Awards Recipients are chosen for their outstanding contributions and achievements in their respective fields.
The 2025 edition saw Popular human interest platform, Citizens Compass winning the Online of the Year category.
Other categories of the Award included Magazine of the Year, Newspaper of the Year, Best Radio Station of the Year and Brand Writer of the Year among others.
Kolawole Aliu, a photo journalist with Leadership Newspaper won the Photo Journalist of the Year category.
Speaking, Mr. Shola Olugbemiro Convener/Chief Executive Officer, Nigeria Media Nite Award thanked everyone for making the 19th edition of the Nigeria Media Nite-Out Award a remarkable success.
He said, “Tonight, we celebrated the strength and dedication of the Fourth Estate of the Realm. Your hard work, your courage, and your commitment to truthful reporting continue to drive the growth of Nigeria’s media and the development of our nation.
“As the convener, I appreciate every one of you who participated from the nominees to the voters and supporters across the country. Your involvement is what keeps this award credible and respected nationwide.

“I encourage all our journalists to keep striving, keep improving, and keep contributing positively to the future of our media space. Nigeria needs your voice now more than ever.”
In his address, the Managing Director and CEO of Nigeria Agricultural insurance cooperation (NAIC),

Hon Yazeed Shehu Danfulani, who was the Guest Speaker for the occasion harped the importance of food security in Nigeria and the role of the federal government in achieving this.
In a chat with Citizens Compass, the Best Photo Journalist of the Year, Aliu said the Award was unexpected.
He thanked Almighty Allah for making it possible.

Citizens Compass Publisher, Mrs Bose Adelaja, said the Award would make her platform work harder.
