CITIZENS COMPASS– Luck ran out of a 20 years old suspected notorious robber in Pallet area of Ijora-Badia, Lagos after dispossessing a female victim of a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip,
The suspect is said to be a member of a gang notorious for dispossessing motorists of their belongings around the area.
Officers of Ijora-Badia Division of the Lagos State Police Command did a Yo man’s job by swiftly responding to the victims who reported in the division that she had been dispossessed of her Samsung Galaxy Z Flip,
Luckily, detectives from the division traced the suspect to his hideout in Monkey Village where he was arrested and the phone recovered.
Spokesperson, Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed this in a statement, on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, said, “Damilare, who confessed to having robbed at the same spot several times, is currently assisting the police in an ongoing investigation towards arresting other members of the gang. Suspect(s) will be arraigned at the conclusion of investigations.
“The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Idowu Owohunwa, has assured residents of Lagos State that efforts are being redoubled towards eradicating all forms of criminality in the state.”
