CITIZENS COMPASS– Two clerics of the Cherubim and Seraphim(C&S) Unification Church, Nigeria Special Apostle Segun Adio and Special Apostle Olusoji Fabuda, on Wednesday advocated for unity of purpose in the body of Christ to fight insecurity.
The clerics made the advocacy at the C&S 2025 Youth Annual General Meeting (AGM) held at Anointed Church of Christ, Oworonshoki area in Lagos State.
The 2025 AGM had the theme: ‘United in Christ, Strengthening for Impact”.
The Citizen Compass reports that insecurity has become a feature in the country with many as causality.
Adio, Chairman C&S Lagos State Youth chapter, described the prevalent love and unity in the C&S as one that should be transcended to the larger body of Christ to form a bloc capable of checking insecurity in the country.
According to him, religious leaders of other denominations and faiths need to form a partnership to tackle insecurity both in prayers, advocacy and aiding operatives with information to quell insecurity in the country to encourage development.
“As stakeholders in the society it will be a disservice for us to remain aloof while unscrupulous elements continue to debase our dignity and right to life.
“As a united front, there is nothing wrong in seeking divine intervention for peace and stability of our country.
“As faithful we believe in the power of the blood of Jesus Christ to aid human efforts geared toward the sustainability of humanity.
“Unification is the key and that is why we are here today, i am so glad because this kind of programme brings our constituent churches to become one.
“In coming together, we will have the strength to positively impact people’s lives at large,” he said.
Adio, represented by Special Apostle Femi Akinpelu, who doubles as the General Secretary, the unification church, admonished youths to be focused, work and unite under Christ.
Earlier, the Guest Speaker, Special Apostle Olusoji Fabuda, said that unity was a force to reckon with to make any meaningful progress.
Fabuda, Minister in-charge of Glory of God C&S worldwide, said that, “there is a need for religious leaders to unite and preach against killings, kidnapping and banditry that has ravaged the country for more than a decade.
He regretted that many religious leaders were using the pulpit to castigate one another due to selfish desires, urged the Church to always practice what they preach in line with spiritual leadership and evangelism grounded in the teachings of Saint Moses Orimolade.
“When you have Christ in you, every other crisis will be subdued, unity is very important irrespective of the church, we should embrace peace.
In his remarks, Apostle Ajose Moses, Youth chairman of C&S unification church, Lagos urges youths to be steadfast in Christ, rebuild their trust and follow what the bible says, shun any act of terrorism and not be an agent of division.
Also, Mrs Pamilerin Osunkoya, a youth member, expressed gratitude to youths for initiating such an event in unity using social media to impact positively and project the image of the church teachings as laid down by the founder, Spiritual leader Moses Orimolade.
