CITIZENS COMPASS—The APC Chairmanship Candidate for Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Lagos State, Mr Ameen Apanisile, has promised to deliver people-centered programmes, if elected.
Apanisile made the promise during a mega rally organised by APC leaders on Monday at Farm settlement area, Odogunyan in Ikorodu, Lagos state.
The Citizens Compass reports that the APC flag bearer is the present council’s Vice Chairman while his running mate, Mr Mathew Adesanya is the incumbent Supervisor for Education in the council.
Apanisile said his administration would follow the guidelines and manifestoes of the party and continually engage stakeholders in different sectors in his developmental plan for the LCDA.
Promising to align with Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s THEME Plus Agenda, the candidate vowed to put the LCDA in better shape.
“I will run an all inclusive government, bringing all the stakeholders to a roundtable and taking the LCDA to the next level,” he said.
Also speaking, Mr Mathew Adesanya, the Vice Chairmanship candidate, promised to bring to the table his wealth of experience and support the chairman’s developmental plan for a better community.
Adesanya said he would support the chairman’s effort in bringing stakeholders together to dialogue in order to find solutions to challenges facing the LCDA.
Earlier, Chief Falola Ajiborisa, the Chairman, Association of Baales, urged the APC candidates to ensure traditional institutions were considered in all policies.
Also, Mr Tijani Olasunkanmi, the APC Chairman in Ikorodu division, expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for signing the new tax law which, according to him, would enable local government to execute more grassroots developmental projects.
Olasunkanmi said the National Assembly representatives, like Sen. Adetokunbo Abiru and Rep. Babajimi Benson performances under the banner of APC would pave the way for the candidate’s victory at the poll.
He urged party members and residents to conduct themselves in a peaceful manner.
He added: “Go out en masse and vote for the APC party considering the quality of work done by our representatives.
“We are hopeful that the next administration will be more blessed in terms of funds, so there is no excuse they will perform. We are optimistic, we will win.”
