Ode-Idahosa congratulates Joseph Ikpea, Omosede Igbinedion, on victory at by-election 

….Says Edo deserves people-focused leadership

CITIZENS COMPASS–-The Secretary, Nigerians in Diaspora Organization (NIDO) African Continental, JP Hamzaosa Ode-Idahosa, on Monday, congratulated Senator-elect Hon. Joseph Ikpea, representing Edo Central Senatorial District and Hon. Barr. Omosede Igbinedion, recently elected to represent Ovia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives on their victory at the Saturday by-election in the State.

Ode-Idahosa congratulated the duo in a statement on behalf of the organisation.

He described the victories as historic, a turning point for Edo State and a renewed affirmation of the people’s desire for visionary and people-focused leadership.

The statement reads, “On behalf of myself and the entire NIDO African Continental family, I extend my warmest congratulations to both Hon. Joseph Ikpea and Hon. Barr. Omosede Igbinedion on their well-deserved electoral victories. “These outcomes are not merely political milestones, they are clear declarations of trust, confidence, and a shared aspiration for genuine transformation.”

Ode-Idahosa said Ikpea is a man of “vision, integrity, and grassroots connection,” noting that his emergence comes at a crucial time when national and regional challenges demand committed and capable leadership.

He lauded Hon. Omosede Igbinedion, a former federal lawmaker making a return to the National Assembly, for her unwavering dedication to public service and her long-standing connection to the people of Ovia.

“The people of Edo Central have spoken decisively by electing a leader with proven dedication and capacity. I am confident that Hon. Ikpea will bring his experience and insight to bear in the Senate, serving with wisdom, justice, and purpose.”

“Hon. Omosede Igbinedion’s return to the Green Chamber is a testament to her enduring relationship with her constituents and her record of impactful representation. Her voice will undoubtedly remain a strong and articulate force for development, inclusion, and progressive governance.”

Ode-Idahosa urged both lawmakers-elect to remain steadfast in their commitment to their constituents, while also contributing to national unity and legislative excellence.
