CITIZENS COMPASS— Popular Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba Ijesha, yesterday, regained his freedom from the Nigerian Correctional Center.
‘Baba Ijesha’ regained his freedom after barely three years in prison custody.
A female entertainer had alleged the actor of sexual assault of her 14-year- daughter.
Videos circulating on social media captured ‘Baba Ijesha’ in a telephone conversation to his ally informing him that he was out of prison.
The actor was arrested in 2021 and, in July 2022, the Lagos State High Court in Ikeja sentenced him to 16 years’ imprisonment after finding him guilty on multiple counts relating to the assault of a 14-year-old girl.
However, the Court of Appeal judgment had overturned his conviction.

According to him: “You are now officially FREE AND OUT. Baba Ijesha is not just back but BETTER.
“I am also happy you were cleared by the APPEAL COURT of ever having sex/defile any child/minor. The 7-year-old story is a charade. We live in a terrible world, where sentiments and wickedness rise above the rule of law and truth.”
