CITIZENS COMPASS—Some suspected kidnappers in Owo, Ondo State, have reportedly fallen into deep sleep during an operation in the area.
This sounds unbelievable considering the number of kidnapping operations that have taken place in the town.
Owo is one of the ancient towns in the State.
A video circulating on social media captured the suspected kidnappers lying on the floor in deep sleep with their weapons placed beside them.
The video allegedly captures the moment members of the Agbekoya Vigilante Group noticed the suspects.
Claims accompanying the video, said the local security group had earlier laced the surrounding area with a traditional charm believed to render the kidnappers powerless. The suspects were said to have fallen into a deep sleep before they were eventually captured.
In the footage, the alleged bandits appear motionless on the ground while a firearm can be seen placed close to them.
Some background voices suggest that the men were apprehended after they became incapacitated in the area.
