Protest hits Lagos over persistent power outage
CITIZENS COMPASS—Protesters on Thursday, demanded stable electricity supply in Lagos State.
The protesters who were mostly youths stormed the streets of Lagos protesting power outages in some parts of the state.
They marched through major roads bearing placards and chanting solidarity songs like “Give us light, we are not asking for too much,” calling on the state government to urgently address the situation.
The protesters said the continued power shortage has negatively affected their daily activities and small businesses, urging the government to take immediate steps to restore stable electricity in their communities.
