…Clarifies demand by bandits
CITIZENS COMPASS— Mrs. Folawe Alamu Rachael, the principal of Community High School, Ahoro-Esiele, in Oriire Local Government, Ogbomoso, Oyo State, has spoken from captivity to clarify the various demands of her abductors.
She disclosed this in another viral video on Monday.
Folawe Alamu Rachael was among the abducted students and teachers on May 15, 2026 in some schools within the area.
She has since been speaking from the captivity appealing to the government to bail them out of their present predicament.
Recall that social media was recently awash following the demands of the abductors calling on the government to pay a ransom of One Billion Naira, two Hilux vehicles, release of some of their incarcerated members and enactment of Sharia Law across Nigeria among other demands.
Clad in an African attire and a background, she debunked the demands made by the abductors.
According to her: Please, I have come to make some clarifications. Today is the 24th day that we have been in this place and it seems that some people are making our problems complicated. We were shown some print media where it was stated that these people that abducted us requested for release of some people, a billion Naira, Sharia to be entrenched in the country. These are untrue, they are just trying to create problems for us. We have been here since and have not been forced to worship in the Islamic way. We have been left alone, they have not troubled us concerning that. They are not asking for Sharia law or money. The single thing they are asking for is the release of some of their people.
I don’t know why they are peddling this rumour to make things complicated for us.
Please, we are just begging you, don’t play politics with our lives. Nigerians, please, help us to circulate this. Let it go viral.
They are not asking for Sharia law, it is untrue: They are not asking for weapons, they are not asking for money, all they are asking for is the release of some people and the government will negotiate with them to know those to be released.
