CITIZENS COMPASS— The Department of State Services (DSS) and other security agencies have successfully rescued the abducted 20 prospective members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Imo State.
The corps members were rescued along with another hostage.
The victims were freed during an intelligence-driven operation carried out by the security agencies in the South-East state.
At press time, the victims were said to be receiving medical attention at a DSS facility.
The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rasidi Ladoja, has confirmed the release of the abducted prospective members of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC.
The traditional ruler revealed this through his Media Aide, Adeola Oloko who noted that the Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, called the traditional ruler and informed him of the release.
Oloko said, ‘The prospective members of NYSC who were abducted have been released.
“The Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, confirmed this in a telephone conversation with the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Ladoja at 5.00pm today, Wednesday.
