After two years in prison, boy, 17, apprehended for theft in Lagos

RESIDENTS of Idi-Oro, Mushin, Lagos, have apprehended a 17 years old boy who just regained freedom from Kirikiri Correctional Center, Lagos.

The teenager, simply identified as ‘Small Bottle’ was said to have spent two years at the Correctional Center for cultism related offences and was released on Friday while he committed another offence the following day.

He has been handed over to the Police for interrogation.

Small Bottle in a video tweeted by SP Benjamin Hundeyin, Spokesperson, Lagos State Police Command, said he grew up in Ajegunle but became homeless after a colleague took him to Idi-Oro.

In the video, a man’s voice was heard at the background alleging that the suspect broke into his small bus (Korope).

SP Hundeyin tweeted, “This 17 year old was released from prison two days ago after doing two years for cultism.

“Yesterday, he broke into someone’s house to cart away valuables. 🤦‍♂️ What exactly are we getting wrong? NB: His lips…he had scuffles with neighbors who apprehended him, not the Police.”
