For the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima in particular, he had mentioned on many occasions how he had worked with a loyal and diligent Chief Security Officer from the South East Zone. He had also worked with a beautiful, intelligent, and excellent Kwapchi Bata who was his Chief Press Secretary for years during his days as Executive Governor of Borno state.
Today, Kwapchi Bata continues to serve her boss, Sen. Kashim Shettima in his role as the Vice President of Federal Republic of Nigeria. This time around, she is the Special Adviser on Media & ICT.
As fate would have it, to underscore the manner of Nigeria’s top 2 men, Kwapchi celebrates her birthday on the same day as the President and Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Federal Republic of Nigeria, Pres. Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR and President of Ghana, President Nana Akufo-Addo. So 29th March is such a unique day for Kwapchi Bata.
For Kwapchi Bata, not only does she celebrate her birthday in March, she told Trek Africa Newspaper that the entire month of March is so special and close to her heart. ‘I originally thought that this day would go unnoticed, but I forgot about the incredible friends and family in my life who never fail to make this day special. Waking up to your sweet messages, prayers, and beautiful birthday wishes is a humbling experience for me.’
‘The month of March holds a significant meaning for me, as it has been a month of divine accomplishments and God’s favor. Not only was I born this month, but I also achieved my first permanent job, married a man with a heart of gold, and became a mother. Additionally, my younger sibling, after a long wait, gave birth to twins during this same month. These blessings are truly indescribable and I cannot ask for anything more from the Almighty. On sharing birthday with the President, she said: ‘Interestingly enough, I discovered that I share the same birth date with a man of great courage, compassion, and resilience – our dear father, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Presidentof Ghana, President Nana Akufo-Addo. On a lighter note, unlike our father Asiwaju Tinubu and my respected fellow birthday mate, who canceled all forms of celebrations to mark his birthday, I am open to receiving gifts.
