CITIZENS COMPASS— A Coalition of human rights bodies on Saturday, kicked against restriction of human movements as Lagos State resumed the suspended sanitation exercise across the state.
The Coalition said it was not in any way against the sanitation exercise but violation of human rights or restriction of movements should be avoided.
The Chairman, Coalition Against Corruption and Bad Governance (CACOBAG), Comrade Toyin Raheem, disclosed this in a statement.
The Coalition also released a contact number incase of violation of human rights.
According to him: Coalition Against Corruption and Bad Governance CACOBAG and all affiliates including Campaign for Constitutionalism and Human Rights CCHR, Tenant Rights Project TRP, Centre for People s Defence (CPD) are not against the reintroduced monthly environmental sanitation of Lagos State government of Nigeria.
However , no law enforcement officer has the right to restrict movement of anyone throughout the state.
