Council boss constructs four roads in Somolu 

… Tackles traffic congestion 

 

CITIZENS COMPASS —The Chairman, Somolu Local Government, Abdul Hamed Salawu ‘Dullar’, has initiated the reconstruction of four critical roads within the community. 

The roads are; Bolaji Olowosago (Formerly Party) Street, Jabita Close, Oyedele Close, and Ibrahim Alli Street. 

As of Tuesday, February 6, 2024, road construction workers have been mobilised to the site marking the beginning of this significant infrastructure project. 

The decision to prioritize these strategic roads underscores the local government’s commitment to improving transportation and enhancing connectivity for residents. 

Chief Press Secretary (CP’S) of the Council, Owolabi ‘Ajimomuya’ Oseni, in a statement made available to Citizens Compass on Tuesday, said by focusing on these key routes, Somolu aims to alleviate traffic congestion, enhance safety, and promote economic development. 

“Through proactive efforts and strategic investments, the local government under Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu’s leadership seeks to create a more accessible and prosperous environment for all residents of Somolu.”

In a chat with Citizens Compass, some Somolu residents have since applaudd the gesture.
