Court adjourns suit seeking disqualification of Baale in Ikorodu

 

CITIZENS COMPASS– AN Ikorodu High Court on Monday, adjourned till March 10, a suit seeking to set aside the installation of Chief Idris Adeowo as the Baale of Okegbegun, Ikorodu, Lagos State.

Justice A.F Pokanu adjourned the suit no IKD 8043GC/ MW 21,
following the failure of the first and fourth respondents to move their final written addresses.

Citizens COMPASS–  reports that the claimants- Chief Matthew Sodipo, Alhaji Rafiu Shokelu, Chief Nurudeen Fakomaya, Prince Albert Aina, Alhaji Solihu Ogiri and Prince Jamiu Gbadebo had filed the action in court on Aug. 23, 2021.

They are seeking an Order of court setting aside the installation of Adeowo (fourth respondent) as the Baale of Okegbegun, Ikorodu, Lagos State and a Declaration of court that Fakomaya (third claimant) is the authentic Baale of Okegbegun, Ikorodu, Lagos State.

Other reliefs sought are an Order forbidding Adeowo from parading himself as the Baale of Okegbegun and an Order preventing Oba Kabiru Shotobi (fifth respondent), the Ayangburen of Ikorodu from presenting or parading Adeowo as the Baale of Okegbegun.

The other respondents to the suit are – Alhaji Akeem Shodipo, Mr Jimoh Mabogaje and Mr Nurudeen Adenuga.
