Court sends man to jail for attempting to vandalise Lagos bridge

 

CITIZENS COMPASS – A Magistrate Court in Oshodi area of Lagos State, has sentenced a man to four-month jail term for attempting to vandalise Jibowu Bridge.

The man was apprehended by the officials of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps popularly known as Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI) while he was  attempting to remove screws and nuts holding the bridge.

The operation was in a swift response to protecting public infrastructure in the State as the man was promptly arraigned in Oshodi where he was found guilty and sentenced to four months imprisonment.

The Lagos State Government has commended the KAI officials for their vigilance and swift action in preventing what could have been a disaster.

This incident serves as a warning to those who would seek to destroy public property, and demonstrates the government’s commitment to protecting its infrastructure and ensuring the safety of its citizens.
