CITIZENS COMPASS —Two years after her wedding to Mai Mala Buni, Yobe State Governor, Gumsu, the daughter of former military Head of State, Gen Sani Abacha, has announced her divorce with the Governor.
She publicly disclosed this while responding to a comment on social media where a follower referred to her as the ‘First Lady’ on her X handle, formerly Twitter.
Sharing her personal photograph, Gumsu announced her state of emancipation and liberation.
In the comment section, where she was addressed as the first lady of Yobe state, Gumsu explicitly clarified her marital status, stating that she is not currently married.
The comment by Gumsu has generated reaction and keeps social media buzzing so far.
The Governor wss former national chairman of the the All Progressives Congress (APC) Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, Mai Mala Buni married the late dictator’s daughter as his fourth wife.
Until her marriage to the Governor, Gumsu was married for twenty years to a Cameroonian billionaire, Bayero Fadil Mohamadou.
She married the Billionaire when she was 25 years old.
