CITIZENS COMPASS— Palpable fear has greeted many residents of Kwara State as a suspected terrorist group has written to some communities about a planned attack.
The affected communities were Ira, Inaja and Aho in Oyun Local Government Area of the State.
The Group under the aegis of Nigeria Terrorist Association (NTA) allegedly dropped the letter at Ira market on Thursday, threatening to launch an attack, a situation which has sent palpable fear among residents.
Following the development, security operatives have been contacted.
Sources said that NTA claimed to have moved from Kaiama Local Government Area to Oyun declaring their intention.

“Be ready for us at any time, any date. noting Concern about your Oracle or us powerful We left Kaiama LG, we moved to Ira, Inaja and Aho and the surrounding town surrounded…”
Recall that on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, terrorists invaded Woro community in the State killing and injuring many.
Among those killed were two wives of the Emir of Woro, several of his children, the Chief Imam, a school principal, a headmistress and returning students.
The Emir, Alhaji Saliu Bio Umar, managed to escape after fleeing the scene.
Security operatives have since commenced investigations.
