CITIZENS COMPASS— Some guests at a wedding reception in Delta State have narrowly escaped death following the collapse of the Plaster of Paris (POP) at the event.
The incident reportedly occurred yesterday in the Udu area of the State.
Eye witnesses’ accounts said the guests were thrown into panic following the collapse when the wedding reception was ongoing.
A trending video captured some of the guests fleeing the venue after the POP ceiling fell off.
Despite the disruption, the celebration continued as guests reportedly moved the event to the parking lot and carried on with the festivities in honour of the newlywed couple.
Reports said no life was lost to the incident.
