CITIZENS COMPASS— In a remarkable display of leadership, service delivery, and community upliftment, the Council Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), on Wednesday, commissioned Shanu Street and Balogun Street, two major rehabilitated roads executed under his administration.
The commissioning was performed by the Lagos State APC Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, who arrived with an impressive delegation of APC State Working Committee members. Their presence underscored the significance of the project and the confidence the party leadership has in the AKOD-led administration.
Also in attendance at the Shanu Street commissioning was the Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), Dr. Kayode Opeifa, who commended the Chairman’s unwavering commitment to grassroots development.
In his address, Pastor Ojelabi lavished praise on Chairman AKOD for “making the party proud by keeping his promises to the people and improving the quality of life in Ikeja.” He urged residents to continue supporting the APC, assuring them that the party remains steadfast in its mission to deliver progress, prosperity, and people-centered governance.

Residents of Shanu and Balogun Streets expressed heartfelt appreciation to Chairman AKOD, applauding his dedication to infrastructural renewal and his resolve to bring tangible development to every part of Ikeja.
