CITIZENS COMPASS— Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, yesterday, dismissed death reports concerning him announcing that he was still alive.
The announcement followed some online reports claiming he had been killed in an Iranian strike.
Netanyahu dismissed the death reports on his X Handle.
He shared a video to buttress his points.
In the clip, the Israeli leader is seen at a café ordering coffee and laughing off the reports of his alleged death.
“I am dead… for coffee,” Netanyahu said, using a Hebrew phrase that means he loves something intensely.
“You know what? I’m ‘dying’ for my people. How they are behaving is fantastic,” he added.
The Prime Minister also raised both hands to the camera, displaying his fingers after online posts alleged that footage from a recent press conference showed him with six fingers on one hand — a claim some users said suggested the video was generated by artificial intelligence.
“Do you want to count my fingers? You can see them here… and here. See? Very nice,” Netanyahu said in the video.
“Go out and get some fresh air, but stay near a protected space,” he said.
“Your resilience is amazing. It gives strength to me, to the government, to the Israel Defense Forces and to the Mossad.”
“We are doing things that I cannot say at this moment, but we are hitting Iran very hard, even today,” he said.
