Kwara Governor sympathises with flood victims 

...Emir laments causes

CITIZENS COMPASS – Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Sunday, June 25, 2023, inspected the flooded Agrarian community of Pututa Village and Gwa bridge in Lafiagi town areas of the state where farmers lost farm investments worth millions of naira to flooding.

He assured victims of the continued support of his administration. 

The Governor, who was represented by his Deputy, Mr. Kayode Alabi, gave the assurance at the Palace of the Emir of Lafiagi. 

The Emir of Lafiagi, Alh. Mohammed Kudi Kawu, the flooding is a reoccurring decimal and majorly caused by the dredging of the Niger River which is close to the community. 

This crisis he said is overwhelming to the economy since Lafiagi is a strong agrarian community. 

He commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for responding in less than 24 hours to their distress call.
