Kwara swears-in female commissioners

KWARA State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has sworn-in two female commissioners who were recently screened and confirmed by the State House of Assembly,

Florence Olasumbo Oyeyemi was sworn-in as Finance Commissioner, while Harriet Adenike Oshatimehin, was sworn-in as Commissioner, Ministry of Youth Development.

The governor charged the new Commissioners to be team players and key into the administration’s commitment to rebuild the state for greatness.

He said,

“As you are aware, Kwara State is undergoing a rebuilding process, prudence, discipline, team work and sacrifice and have been our watchwords,” he stated.

He noted that, ” revenue is drying up, yet our administration is confronted with huge challenges of human capital and infrastructural developments and an urgent need to lift as many people as possible out of poverty.

“Every penny is being channeled to tackle this. The administration, has a duty to chart a substantial course for our state. That is why we cannot afford to be flamboyant or wasteful,” he added.
