CITIZENS COMPASS— The Magistrates Court sitting in Bolade-Oshodi in Lagos State, yesterday, arraigned eight suspects in connection with the attack on the officials of the Lagos Environmental Sanitation Corps (LAGESC) popularly known as Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI).
Citizens Compass reported that four officials of the Agency were attacked on Wednesday on Victoria Island.
The incident occurred at 134, Sinari Daranijo Street, when the personnel embarked on a joint enforcement to Yakoyo Abula Restaurants.
Citizens Compass reports that the suspects were arraigned on a five-count charge of; Conduct likely to cause breach of peace, Conspiracy to commit a felony, Unlawfully causing grievous bodily harm by using dangerous weapons on seven KAI officers, Unlawful possession of dangerous weapons (Knife, cutlass) and an Attempt to unlawfully kill KAI officers in the discharge of their duties.
They all pleaded Not guilty and have been remanded in the correctional centre until the 28th of January 2026, awaiting the DPP’s advice.
The suspects were identified as; Ibiwunmi Oladunjoye, 30yrs (F), Sikiru Oyelami, 45yrs, Aja Daniel- 29yrs and Sanusi Abayomi, 31yrs.
Others were Timothy Emmanuel- 22yrs, Ajoke Adegoke, 24yrs (F), Sulaimon Akinbola, 28yrs and Ridwan Adeshina, 30yrs.
