CITIZENS COMPASS— The Lagos State Government on Thursday, distanced itself from a purported recruitment interview exercise allegedly scheduled for Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Ikeja Grammar School, Bolade, Oshodi, describing the exercise as fraudulent.

The warning follows the circulation of a message directing nominees for the Lagos State Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI) Brigade to report for an interview at Ikeja Grammar School by 8:00 a.m. on Thursday.

Reacting to the development, the Corps Marshal of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (LAGESC/KAI), Major Olaniyi Olatunbosun Cole (Rtd), dismissed the information as false and misleading.

According to him, the Lagos State Government has neither announced nor commenced any recruitment exercise for the agency, stressing that no interview or training exercise has been scheduled at the stated venue or any other location.

“It is a scam,” the Corps Marshal stated, warning members of the public, particularly job seekers, not to be deceived by individuals behind the fake recruitment notice.

He urged Lagosians to disregard the message and avoid falling victim to fraudsters who may seek to exploit unemployed youths through false promises of employment.

Major Cole further advised interested applicants to rely only on official government communication channels for information regarding recruitment into the agency and other state government establishments.

The Lagos State Government reiterated its commitment to transparency in recruitment processes and assured residents that any legitimate employment opportunity would be publicly announced through authorized platform
