Lagos gives reason for sealing church, mosque

CITIZENS COMPASS —Lagos State Government on weekend, explained why it sealed some religious and event centres in the state. 

The churches and mosques were sealed on weekend, by officials of the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA). 

The Commissioner, Ministry of Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, in a post on X account popularly known as Twitter on Saturday, said they were sealed over noise pollution.

According to him, the operation led by the LASEPA General Manager, Tunde Ajayi, sealed religious centres and other establishments due to concerns regarding noise pollution and other environmental infractions.

The affected establishments include Ansar-Ud-deen, Restoration Centre Global Church, Bloomgrey Event, Club Hoxegen, Starrex Luxury Apartment in Gbagada, and Bayrock Lifestyle in Lekki Phase 1.
