CITIZENS COMPASS—The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Lagos State Chapter, yesterday, praised President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for the appointment of Professor Segun Aina as the new registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
They made the recommendation in a statement signed by the State Chairman, Adigun Ibrahim Olalekan in Lagos.
Adigun described the appointment as a strong indication of the President’s commitment to competence, innovation, and youth inclusion in governance.
The council noted that professor Aina’s impressive academic background, expertise in digital systems, and contributions to examination and institutional reforms make him highly qualified for the position.
According to the council, the appointment of a young and accomplished professional into such a strategic national office serves as inspiration to millions of Nigerian youths, reinforcing the belief that excellence, hard work, and dedication to national service are rewarded.
NYCN Lagos further commended President Tinubu for continuously creating opportunities for young Nigerians to contribute meaningfully to nation-building,” he said
According to him, the council expressed confidence that Prof. Aina would build on the achievements of Prof. Is-haq Oloyede and further strengthen the credibility, innovation, and operational efficiency of JAMB, while wishing him a successful and impactful tenure in office.
