Major stakeholders in APC adopt Aiyedatiwa 

 

CITIZENS COMPASS — Major stakeholders in the three wards in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Ilutitun l, Okitipupa Local Government area of Ondo State have adopted the Ondo State Governor, His Excellency Lucky Aiyedatiwa as the party candidate in the forthcoming APC Governorship primary election in the State.

The adoption took place on Saturday, March 16, 2024 during a meeting held at Sara Joe Guest House, Ilutitun where the leaders unanimously declared that “with Governor Aiyedatiwa as APC candidate, the party will be coasting to landslide victory in November Governorship election in the State”.

They said, “our support for Aiyedatiwa was based on the conviction about his astuteness in governance and prospects to deliver the dividends of good governance for the populace”.

“Our decision was carefully taken. The leadership painstakingly took an indepth and holistic assessment of his leadership styles, political sagacity, democratic credentials, human resources management and impeccable performance”.

“So, it was on this basis that we adopted Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa as our candidate for APC  Governorship primary election in April”, they said.

Some of the leaders at the well attended meeting are, former Chairman Okitipupa Local Government and former Commissioner of Agriculture, Pastor Olusegun Ayerin, former Chairman Okitipupa Local Government/former SSA to Governor and now Board member Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Dr Mrs Morenike Alaka, former House of Assembly member and now Board member of House of Assembly Board Commission, Hon Ola Oguntimehin Alaspart.

Others are, businessmen and APC chieftain, Mr Sehinde Akinbuwa, former Special Adviser to the Governor, Dr Taiwo Adefurin, Mr Victor Odole and Mr Sunday Iyamojuko Skelly. 

Also at the meeting were, former ward councillors namely, Monday Akinsulure,  Somi Medahunsi, Abayomi Akinyemi and Sunday Arogbo. 

Others were Secretary, National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and other stakeholders.
