Man dies after fight in Ogun

… Police arrest suspect

 

CITIZENS COMPASS —Operatives of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested a man, Joshua Adeoye,in connection with the death of one Sunday Adisa who gave up the ghost after the former and some accomplices engaged him in a fight.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, in the Isara Remo area of the State. 

Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alamutu disclosed this on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, while reeling out some of his recent achievements at the Command. 

“On 02/01/2024, at about 0830hrs, one Juwon Banjo ‘m’ of Majago street Isara Remo, Ogun State reported that on the same day, at about 0800hrs, one of his younger brothers named Sunday Adisa ‘m’, now deceased was trying to chastise his younger sister for keeping late night, one Taiwo Adisa ‘f’, that in the process, an argument ensued with one Joshua Adeoye which was later resolved amicably for them. However, despite the resolution of their disagreement, the said Joshua Adeoye thereafter mobilized his brothers namely, Dare ‘m’ and Babatunde, surnames yet unknown to attack Sunday Adisa .

“Consequently, upon the fight, Sunday Adisa started complaining of weak feelings and later fell down. He was immediately rushed to Isara State hospital, where he was confirmed dead by the medical doctor on duty. The prime suspect has been arrested, while efforts to apprehend other fleeing suspects are in progress. Case is under investigation.”
