Man storms bank with bomb

…As security operatives prevent mob action

CITIZENS COMPASS – A mob action was on Monday, prevented in Jos, Plateau State when a yet-to-be identified man was reportedly caught attempting to plant a bomb within the premises of a bank.

Save for the prompt response of some security operatives in the axis, the man would have been forgotten by now. 

According to eyewitnesses’ accounts, the incident occurred on Monday in Dadin Kowa town, Jos South area of the state. 

The suspect, clad in Blue and White dress was found with a Person Borne Improvised Explosive Device (PBIED) strapped to his body.

The vigilant security personnel at the bank thwarted the attack after spotting the suspect.

Following this, a mob surrounded the suspect, demanding his immediate execution.

It remains unclear whether the suspect has any connections to terrorist organizations in the country.

This incident has led many to call on the government to enhance security measures, particularly in the northern part of the country.
