CITIZENS COMPASS —A 17 years old girl, Peace Endurance Joshua, said to be missing in Ikorodu, Lagos State, since August 2023, has been found serving service as a sales girl at a canteen.
She was recently found opposite General hospital, Ikorodu where she was serving as a sales girl.
Peace uncle, a retired Police officer, Ademola Adedoyin recently disclosed this to Citizens Compass in a chat.
Recall that the girl suddenly disappeared from number 42, Kayode Street, behind WAEC, Igbogbo in Ikorodu, Lagos where she stays with her aunt, Mrs Aderonke Ogunkamisi.
She was last seen on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at about 12p. m.
Speaking about how her niece was found, Ademola said having made announcement and searched everywhere, the family resolved to fate until a neighbour alerted them that he spotted Peace at a canteen.
He gave kudos to men of Ipakofo Division for being proactive.
According to him, “We thank Almighty Allah for locating my missing niece.
One of our neighbours alerted us that he spotted her at a canteen opposite General Hospital, Ikorodu and we alerted the Ipakodo Division whose jurisdiction falls within the area.
“She was said to be serving as a sales Girl and the policemen applied professionalism to the matter.
“The owner of the canteen known as iya Dammy claimed that one iya Toeeb from Obunale area of Ita-Elewa introduced the girl to her claiming she was her daughter who just completed SS3 and needed a temporsry job before learning a skill.
“When the Police stepped into the matter, Iya Toheeb said that a man called Dammy T brought the girl to her, that he saw her rooming about at mid night.
“The Police arrested all suspects excluding Dammy T who was on the run.
“Upon interrogation, Peace was said to have claimed that she failed to return home out of fear when she was last seen on August 8.
“She was also quoted to have said that her friend who was with her missing cloth was unavailable when she visited her house on the saud date.
