New Lagos NSCDC Commandant seeks officers’ cooperation

THE new Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, Lagos State Command, Eweka Okoro has sought the cooperation of the officers and men of the command in the discharge of his duties .

Speaking during the official handing over, at the Command Headquarters, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos, he urged them to extend to him, the respect, mutual support and cooperation accorded to his predecessor Ayeni Kolawole who he described as a role model.

He said,

Commandant Ayeni Kolawole is a role model, senior officer of repute who has done so much in the service. I appeal to our officers and men of the command to extend to me, the respect, mutual support and cooperation they gave to the him,”

The new commandant promised to do what is expected of him without fear nor favour.

Before his promotion as Lagos State Commandant, Eweka has served in various capacities and locations including the Commandant Ondo State Command.

He promised to deploy his wealth of experience, wisdom and knowledge, in the service as he handles the affairs of the command.

Earlier, Commandant Ayeni appreciated God Almighty for a successful and crisis – free time in office.

Also, he appreciated the Commandant – General, for the rare opportunity given to him to serve in the state.

Ayeni expressed his heart- felt gratitude to Lagos State Government and Lagos State Security Trust Fund, for their support during his tenute in the state.

“I thank all officers and men of the Lagos State Command who worked assiduously with me to ensure a peaceful and successful administration.

He charged officers to remain committed and supportive to the new Commandant the same way they did to him.

The handing over document contained
details and essentials of the Command including staff of office, which symbolise a change of baton and leadership.
