CITIZENS COMPASS— Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Olabode Ojajuni, yesterday, paid an official courtesy visit to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun Sector Command.
The Sector Commander, CC Oludare Ogunjobi, received the Police chief and his entourage alongside principal officers of the Command. The visit commenced with an official reception and the recitation of the National Anthem.
CP Ojajuni commended the FRSC for maintaining safer highways. He advised operatives to prioritize tactical safety measures during field operations.
* Inter-Agency Support: CC Ogunjobi expressed appreciation for the Nigeria Police Force’s (NPF) swift response to emergency calls and operational emergencies.
Operational Backing: The FRSC requested sustained police reinforcement during high-risk special patrol operations.
Justice for Operatives: The Sector Commander highlighted delays in prosecuting suspects involved in the recent assault on FRSC personnel at Ijebu Ode. He urged the CP to expedite legal action.
The meeting featured a unique personal highlight. CP Ojajuni shared a throwback photograph of himself and CC Ogunjobi from their undergraduate days. Both heads of agency were classmates in the Department of History at the defunct Ondo State University, Ado Ekiti (now Ekiti State University).
The heads of both agencies concluded the visit at 11:15 AM with a commitment to stronger collaboration and shared a group photograph.
