CITIZENS COMPASS— A pastor with Believers Praise Ministry, Agbarho, Delta State, Valentine Osezie, has allegedly bought a baby at N1.5m.
Reasons for buying the baby could not be established but it was gathered that the pastor is currently facing interrogation alongside his wife as the Police in Ekpan area of the State have swung into action and recovered the two-month-old baby boy.
Earlier, the baby’s mother, simply identified as Rita, was said to have reported that her baby was kidnapped along NNPC Complex Road in Warri but her account was said to be suspicious prompting the Police to investigate her claims.
Subsequently, Police traced the baby to the pastor’s house.
In the course of investigations, Rita’s husband was said to have incidented the matter with Ekpan Police Division and this aided the investigations.
Spokesperson, Delta State Police Command, Bright Edafe, has confirmed the arrest.
