CITIZENS COMPASS —Police in Lagos have arrested a 27-year-old suspected cultist, Ahmed Ololade popularly known as Small Mercy.

He was arrested by officers from the Orile Division. 

Small Mercy was in possession of some suspected items as at the time of the arrest. 

Spokesperson of the Command, Benjamin Hundeyin disclosed this on Sunday, December 3, 2023, on his X Handle popularly known as Twitter. 

He said, “27-year-old suspected cultist, Ahmed Ololade aka Small Mercy, has been arrested by officers of Orile Division in possession of the following items: 1 locally made pistol, 2 single barrel shotguns, 6 live cartridges, 7 live 7.65mm ammunition, 1 live 9mm ammunition, two axes and charms. Investigation is ongoing.”

Meanwhile, the Command has recovered an abandoned car in one of the communities in the State. 

The 2005 Honda Civic with number plate, KEY 417 AH, was said to be abandoned for about seven months before residents of the community alerted the Police. 

The car has been taken to Makinde Police Division as the owner was implored to come forward with the proof of ownership.

The spokesperson akso disclosed this in his X Handle popularly known as Twitter. 

“Residents of a Lagos neighborhood duly informed the police of the abandonment of a 2005 Honda Civic with registration number KEY 417 AH in their neighborhood for the past seven months. “Car has been recovered to Makinde Police Division. The owner is urged to come forward with proof of ownership.*

An X user, official-zoo responded thus: “He’s not an armed robber he’s a Cultist… He usually terrorise algba, imalenfe alafia, savage, kekere ekun, wosilat to mention few… He’s well know in those areas mentioned. Anybody he threaten is gone. Everyone in Orile are happy with his arrest. Thanks to NPF and Alabi. ”
