RRS patrols Ketu/Mile 12, Iyana-Oworo

...recovers 20 slabs, 10 bolts, nuts

CITIZENS COMPASS– FOLLOWING public outcry about criminality on some Lagos roads, men of Rapid Response Squad (RRS) in the state, have steeped up security of lives and property by patrolling some sensitive areas.

RRS Commander, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, gave the directives in response to distress calls by members of the public.

RRS on its official social media handles said that “RRS teams maintain visible presence in areas where there are reports of miscreants’ harassment on motorists,””

According to RRS, places covered include, “Anthony, Gbagada, Iyana Oworo, Ogudu, Ojota, Ketu and Mile 12 to ensure the safety of motorists and other road users.”

Similarlly, RRS said it made some arrests on Sunday, November 20, 2022, “Yesterday, around 4.45 p.m. RRS Officers on patrol of Iyana Oworo were reliably informed that some miscreants were vandalizing part of the streetlight poles on the median of Third Mainland Bridge, Lagos.

“The officers raced to the scene. The three suspects on sighting the patrol team bolted abandoning the cut metals.

“Ŕecovered from the scene were 20 heavy slabs of metal and 10 big bolts and nuts.”
