RRS impounds 257 motorcycles in Ikorodu, Agege 

 

CITIZENS COMPASS —Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) and the enforcement team of 6Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) in collaboration with Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency (LNSA) have impounded 257 motorcycles in Ikorodu axis. 

The enforcement took place yesterday, at Ikorodu Roundabout, Ogolonto and thereafter proceeded to Agege following the directives of the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Adegoke Fayoade to Commander, Rapid Response Squad (RRS), CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi to lead the joint team to impound recalcitrant motorcycles operators plying prohibited routes in Lagos State.

The team operated first in Ikorodu Roundabout and Ogolonto and moved from there to Agege where more enforcement was carried out leading to the seizure of 257 motorcycles. 

The Commissioner of Police commended the team and reiterated that the exercise would be a continuous one till motorcyclists in the state comply with the state’s revised traffic law 2018 adding that the Command would be strict in its enforcement till riders are ready to obey Lagos State transport policy.
