So-Safe apprehends man for stealing aluminium fittings

 

CITIZENS COMPASS —A suspected burglar, Ayomide Ibrahim, has been apprehended by men of Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, codenamed So-Safe Corps. 

He was apprehended on Thursday, January 25, 2024. 

This was contained in a press statement issued from the Office of the State Commander of the Corps, Commander (Dr) Soji Ganzallo through the Office of the Director of Information and Public Relations of the Corps, Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf.

According to the statement, officers of the Corps while on routine patrol to Baba Ode Division, Iju, in Ado Odo Ota Local Government, the 25-year-old suspect while stealing aluminum fittings. 

The statement also read that the suspect confessed to have relocated from Abeokuta to join his accomplice at Baba Ode, Iju. 

He confessed during preliminary interrogation that the exhibits were stolen from an uncompleted building in Atan and that Biola Adebesin, who was previously arrested by the Corps on 18th January is their gang leader and they specialise in burgling and stealing from worship centres. 

The So-Safe boss also mentioned that the suspect revealed that any church instruments stolen were sold at Arena Shopping Complex in Oshodi, Lagos.

He concluded that the suspect and the recovered exhibits were transferred to the Nigeria Police Force, Onipaanu Divisional Police Headquarters for further investigation and likely prosecution.
