CITIZENS COMPASS— A former leader of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND), Asari Dokubo, has slammed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu telling him that “this country is too hard”,

Dokubo called on Mr President to surrender, owing to the economic situation in Nigeria which “is unbearable”.

Meanwhile, different shades of traders have released videos on social media lamenting low sales across Nigerian markets.

The traders called on President Tinubu to cushion the economic hardship on many Nigerians.

The videos mostly shot in Lagos and Ibadan captured some stalls where traders were either sleeping or playing owing to low sales.

Some of the videos depicted low or no turn out of customers as some of the goods displayed did not receive patronages.

They called on the government from all quarters to find a lasting solution to their plight.

Some of the traders attributed the poor sales to the skyrocketing price of petrol across the country.

One of the videos captured one of the well patronised Lagos market, Eko/Idumota with a background female voice seriously lamenting lack of patronage at this period.

The female voice lamented that she bought five litres of petrol at N8,000 to light her shops without patronage.

The video captured a popular area, ‘Eyin Eyo’, with many commercial buses on queue with relatively low passengers.

Commenting about the economic hardship, Asari Tokunbo was captured in a viral video chanting a war song, Asari said it was obvious that the President cannot fight and so should step aside.

Asari says in Pidgin language, “Tinubu, na me dey tell you, you no go fit fight. Tinubu surrender. The country too hard. This country is too hard. We dey vex. Look, out fuel, everything is too expensive in this country.

“Everything is too expensive. We have refineries but they’re not working in this country. Nothing is working in this country and we’ll not continue in this situation. We’re hungry. We’re hungry. We’re hungry and this must stop. It must stop.”
