CITIZENS COMPASS— An operational vehicle belonging to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) on weekend, reportedly crushed a female officer to death in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
The officer, a female, was crushed to death during a “show of force” exercise by the Corps’ Female Strike Force, also known as the Female Squad.
The 58-second video of the exercise was shared on social media.
Footage captured a black operational van with the inscription “Female Squad” running over the officer while another van followed behind.
Colleagues and bystanders rushed to lift the vehicle and move the victim into an ambulance.
NSCDC Spokesperson Afolabi Babawale, confirmed the officer’s death but said her identity and details surrounding the accident would be released in a formal statement.
Mixed reactions have since trailed the incident.
