We are hungry, Lagosians tell Tinubu

… express anger

CITIZENS COMPASS —Some angry residents of Lagos Island area of Lagos have told President Bola Ahmed Tinubu that there is hunger in the land. Some traders from the Idumota market area have also corroborated this in a viral video.

This occurred over the weekend as the residents were captured shouting in Yoruba Language, “Ebi npa wa oo” (we are hungry).

The video captured the residents lining up on both sides of the road as Tinubu’s convoy passed through the area.

It was an unusual trip for the president as the residents refused to hail him as usual. Instead of the hail and cheers, the residents who lined the route to catch a glimpse of the president instead kept talking of the pains they have endured since the advent of the President’s administration.

Underneath the complaining voices in the video, residents were heard saying the presidency had known the plans of the people which was the reason for the heavy security.

However, the alleged initial plan was not made known.

The President arrived Lagos before Christmas to celebrate the Yuletide in his constituency.
