Yoruba Indigenes Foundation hails Sanwo-Olu on Yoruba Week

CITIZENS COMPASS –The President of Yoruba Indigenes Foundation (YIF), Dr Olumide Aderibole, has thrown his weight behind Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu, on the proposed Yoruba Week slated for September of every year.

In a press statement recently signed by Mr. Sanjo Olawuyi, the Director of Communications and Strategies of the Foundation, Aderibole said: “It is a thing of joy that the executive arm of the prestigious Lagos State Government, under the amiable leadership of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has officially concluded plans, to make good use of the proposed Yoruba Week, to take Yoruba’s heritage and virtues to the next level”.

The proposed Yoruba Week, promises to be a unifying avenue for all Yorubas and a rallying factor for all Yoruba Indigenes, residing or doing business on the soil of Lagos State.

YIF is optimistic that, the Yoruba Week will not only attest to the fact that Lagos State belongs to the Yorubas.

“It will consolidate the fact that Lagos State is a center of excellence in anything good in Nigeria, including Cultural Heritage.

“YIF will not hesitate to support the proposed Lagos State Week.

“At Yoruba Indigenes Foundation, we are in top gear in presenting a BluePrint, to the Lagos State government, as part of our contributions, to ensure a monumental success for the proposed event.

“YIF is double sure that, the proposed Lagos State Yoruba Week, will overtly display and showcase an array of creativity and innovations that originated from Yoruba land, in a great way, to the global community.”
