YULETIDE: Council Chairman distributes food packs to Igbogbo-Baiyeku residents

CITIZENS COMPASS— The Council Chairman of Igbogbo /Baiyeku Council Development Area (IBLCDA), Omo’ba Hameed Olalekan Arouyewun, on Tuesday, distributed over 2,000 branded food packs to residents of the area.
The event was held at the Eleja Primary School.

While welcoming all present at the event, he thanked a one-time Secretary to the Lagos State Government, Pa Reuben Olorunfunni Basorun, for his political and fatherly role to all.

Aroyewun, who distributed the food packs alongside cash transfer, said the gesture was in tandem with the agenda of the State Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, on food security. He said,

“What we are doing today with the food packs is in tandem with the Lagos Governor’s agenda on food security.”
He said that the exercise would be a continuous one and would be improved upon.

In his goodwill message, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe, former Minister for Works, charged the Council Chairman to continue on his agenda on development, charging him to give priority to education.
In his vote of thanks, the Vice Chairman, Barrister Tunde Ayeni charged the beneficiaries to be thankful to God.
