CITIZENS COMPASS— The organisers of The CIO & C-Suite Conference and Awards Africa are set for the next edition billed for October 27, 2026, at the Balmoral Convention Center, Victoria Island, Lagos.

This was contained in an announcement on Tuesday.

Under the awards theme, “Leading the Next Africa,” the 2026 edition will convene business and technology leaders, C-Suite Executives, policymakers, investors, technology companies, startups and other senior decision-makers from across the continent.

The conference will focus on “Data Localization: Policy, Progress, and Prospects,” with particular attention to the evolving regulatory and policy landscape around data localization in Nigeria and its implications for the financial services and broader technology ecosystem. The conversation will examine the Central Bank of Nigeria’s evolving approach to data governance and localization, the policy objectives driving these requirements, progress and practical experiences with implementation, and what the emerging framework means for financial institutions, technology providers and other organizations that manage and process data.

Organizers expect approximately 1,000 delegates, with representation targeted from at least 11 African countries, including leaders from some of the continent’s most consequential industries and institutions.

“Leading the Next Africa is about moving beyond conversations about Africa’s potential to recognizing and equipping the leaders who are actively building its future. The next phase of Africa’s digital transformation will require more than technology adoption. It will require intelligent enterprises, resilient infrastructure, trusted ecosystems and leaders who understand how to turn innovation into sustainable business and societal value.” – Abiola Laseinde, Convener

The conference will be followed by the CIO & C-Suite Awards Africa, celebrating outstanding technology and business leadership and enterprise innovation across the continent. The awards will recognize achievement across major sectors of Africa’s digital economy, including Fintech & Financial Services, E-commerce, Healthtech, Agritech, Cleantech/Energy, AI & Data, Education, Media, Telecommunications and Technology Services.

“Now entering its seventh edition, the platform has evolved from its origins as a technology-leadership recognition initiative into a broader pan-African platform celebrating leadership, innovation and digital transformation.” – Oluwakayode Adigun, Chairman

Registration and partnership information is available through the official CIO & C-Suite Club Africa website.
