Former Nigerian President dies in London
CITIZENS COMPASS—Former Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, has reportedly died on Sunday.
He was said to have died at a clinic in London, United Kingdom, in the afternoon.
His media aide, Garba Shehu disclosed this on his X Handle.
The post reads, “INNA LILLAHI WA INNA ILAIHIRRAJIUUN.
The family of the former president has announced the passing on of the former president, Muhammadu Buhari, this afternoon in a clinic in London.
May Allah accept him in Aljannatul Firdaus, Amin.”
Born on December 17, 1942, Muhammadu Buhari GCFR is a Nigerian retired politician who served as the president of Nigeria from 2015 to 2023. A retired Nigerian army major general, he was the military head of state of Nigeria from 31 December 1983 to 27 August 1985.
