
Sesan Daini rounds off tenure with mass commissioning of projects
CITIZENS COMPASS—As part of the activities to round off his official assignment as the council chairman of Igbogbo-Baiyeku Local Council Development Area, Ikorodu Division in Lagos State, Olusesan Mayokun Daini has embarked on mass commissioning of projects in the area.
The outgoing chairman popularly known as Builder Daini on Friday, commissioned the projects comprising road construction, primary health center and schools as facilitated by a Member, House of Representatives representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Babajimi Benson.

The Friday projects were commissioned within igbogbo, Baiyeku and Olu-Odo communities.
The commissioned projects are Lawal Animashanwu and Baganju streets in igbogbo, Primary Health Care (PHC) centre on Agbele Road igbogbo,
Ilado Primary School, along Baiyeku Road and Olu -Odo Primary School, Olu Odo.
In his address, Daini said before now, the Roads; Lawal Animashanwu and Baganju streets were unmotorable but determined to reconstruct them considering the fact that they could serve as link roads to the major road ,Oba Omolaja Ogunlewe Road.
The roads are also lined with street lighting for security purposes.
The street houses three private primary schools.
The pupils of two of the schools rendered cultural dances in honour of the commissioning.
Dani also thanked a Member, Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon.Aro Moshood Abiodun (AMA), for his roles.
He prayed that out of the children, some of them will grow to become council chairmen.
He appreciated Hon.Baba jimi Benson ,the Chairman Committee on Defence at the Federal House of Representatives,for the great work he is doing as a follow up on Governor Babajide Sanwolu’s policy of “no child of school age must be seen on the Streets.”
Hon.Gbenga Oshin, a former member of Lagos Assembly also appreciated Hon.Jimi Benson charged the host community, Mustapha Community Development Association (CDA), to ensure the project is not abused.
The Chairman, All Progressives Congress (APC), Igbogbo/Baiyeku,Sefiu Ogunyemi, also thanked Hon.Babajimi Benson for his vision and development in the community.
At Ilado Primary School, Daini said the community has been without a primary school since the ’90s.
At Oluodo, Daini commended the family for providing the land for the school project despite the expensive nature of landed property in the area.
Daini, said he inherited 12 primary schools and three have been added making a total of 15.
He appreciated Lagos State Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwolu’s support for the local government autonomy..
He said that the Olu Odo community has been requesting for a primary school since 1999 .
“The school has six blocks of classrooms and eight toilets.”
Ilado Primary School project was facilitated by Hon.Babajimi Benson while Daini facilitated the perimeter fencing and toilets.
Present at the occasion were Jimoh Ogunmuyiwa, former council chairman, former Commissioner for Tourism, Arts &Culture, Hon.Adebimpe Akinsola, the incoming council chairman, Hammed Aroyewun and many others.
Daini said the commissioning would continue on Saturday.
