CITIZENS COMPASS— A Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), was on Tuesday gutted by fire on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos State.
The incident occurred at about 1.00p.m. near the Adekunle axis of the bridge.
Eye witnesses’ accounts said the incident affected free flow of traffic inwards Iyana Oworo.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) confirmed the incident.
LASTMA confirmed the incident in a series of videos posted on its X Handle formerly known as Twitter.
“A high-capacity bus is on fire on the Third Mainland Bridge, by Adekunle, inwards Iyana Oworo, affecting traffic,” LASTMA said.
“Efforts are ongoing to put out the fire, and our officers are on scene managing the traffic situation.”
