CITIZENS COMPASS— The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun State Sector Command, on Monday, cautioned motorists to be proactive in their day-to-day activities.
The Sector Commander, Ogun State, Oludare Ogunjobi gave the caution following the prediction by the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) on variable rainfall patterns for the year with Ogun State expected to experience a longer rainy season in Year 2026.
Recent alerts from the Federal Ministry of Environment also highlighted Ogun as one of the states at risk for heavy rainfall and flash flooding during this period.
The Corps Commander admonished all road users to stay safe this season.
He recommended regular critical vehicle maintenance,
checking of tyres and lighting systems among others.
