CITIZENS COMPASS— The Senator representing Lagos-East Senatorial District, Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, on Tuesday, said he recently inspected the ongoing construction of Ikorodu-Itoikin Road even as he shared the progress of the work so far.
Abiru posted the progress on his social media handles.
Abiru assured that the road construction would be completed soon.
According to him: I recently visited the ongoing construction of the 34km Ikorodu Itoikin Road to assess the progress of work and ensure that the project continues to move forward as expected.
I am encouraged by the progress recorded so far. From Sabo Roundabout Junction towards Itoikin, reconstruction has advanced to almost 7km, while Itoikin end towards Ikorodu has experienced 4.5km improvement. Work is also progressing on the remaining sections of the road.
I also inspected the 4.5km Itoikin Ijebu Ode Road, which has been rehabilitated and is now motorable, with completion works steadily advancing.
Road infrastructure remains critical to improving mobility, supporting commerce, and opening up greater economic opportunities for our communities. I will continue to engage with the relevant authorities and closely monitor the progress of these projects to ensure they are completed for the benefit of our people.
