Abuja standstill as Loveworld holds first state dinner

 

CITIZENS COMPASS —Dignitaries from all over the country were treated to Africa and continental delicacies at the first ever Loveworld State Dinner organised by the Loveworld Incorporated at the Transcorp Hilton Abuja yesterday.

Welcoming guests at the august event, Dr. Daysman Oyakhilome who is the President of the United Youth of Africa Nation (UYAN), appreciated the founder and president of the Loveworld Incorporated, also known as Christ Embassy, Rev. Dr. Chris Oyakhilome, for the opportunity given to him, welcomed the distinguished guests to the Loveworld State Dinner.

He noted that “the Loveworld global fellowship is a structure and a platform visionarily put together by the man of God to embrace, support, and inspire your work all around the world. It’s a platform that creates and reconciles all your great efforts, visions, goals, to God’s vision and plan for mankind.”

The platform, he added, was also established with the aim of “shining the light on your hardwork, commitment and passion for God and the nations.”

According to him, this passion led to the establishment of the first of its kind, the Loveworld State Dinner to celebrate, fellowship, innovate and strategize with the quests.

Dr. Daysman Oyakhilome, who noted that his father has entrusted him with many responsibilities throughout the years, saying that “my biggest responsibility will be an opportunity to serve the Lord with you in this journey of global impact.

The President of the All-African Students Union (AASU), Osisiogu Enyinnaya E., in his speech, make a case for support for education in the continent, saying that the union associated itself with the Loveworld State Dinner because over the years, “Rev. Dr. Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD. has been of immense impact in building men that build Africa at various spheres of the society.

“We have, as young people, been impact by, not just his ministry but his tutelage”.

The AASU President that the union under his presidency has championed cause of student activism in Africa, saying that the event will help in cementing relationships with various partners in the course of the union’s activities.

He specially appreciated Pastor Chris Oyakhilome for his support, while thanking all the guests for being part of the first Loveworld State Dinner.

On his part, the Emir of Kano expressed his desire and commitment to be part of the begging of joint efforts to impact the African continent and the world at large.

Pledging to amplify the message of love and hope, especially in the area of educational development, which the union represents the Emir of Kano Alhaji Ado Bayero saying that the vision will promote love and unity across the country.

In his own speech, the former Governor of Imo State, Senator Rochas Okorocha, urged support for efforts to reduce the number of the out of school children in the country, thanking Rev Dr Chris Oyakhilome for awarding scholarships to 200 students drawn from the Rochas Okorocha Foundation schools across the country.

Other dignitaries at the dinner include members of the diplomatic corps, including the representatives of Moroccan Embassy in Nigeria as well as a Special Adviser to the Crown Prince of United Arab Emirates; 2023 presidential aspirant, Dr. Nicolas Philips; Reverend Tom Amenkhienan; former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Engr. Babachir David Lawal; Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero; former presidential aspirant, Dr Nicolas Felix; the Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of the NNPC Limited, Malam Mele Kyari, represented by, Folashade Adekeye, the National Coordinator, Open Government Partnership (OGP) Nigeria and Director of Special Duties, Federal Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Dr Gloria Kudi Ahmed; 2019 presidential candidate, Comrade Ademola Babatunde Abidemi Samuel; Group Chairman DCL Group, Dr Charles Okechukwu; the Chairman of the Benue State Football Association (BSFA) and Founder of the Naija Ratels Football Club, Barr.
